Sketching a Wedding Invitation Suite
Browsing through my work, you’ll notice that I lean heavily on color, detail, whimsy, and creativity to produce stationery that’s truly one-of-a-kind. All of that can be hard to convey with a black and white sketch, and plus, a lot of my best ideas, the elements that make my suites truly unique and personal come about while I’m immersed in the process of painting and designing! That said, I have to start somewhere, and I do need to make sure couples are on board with my ideas, however vague and malleable they may be, at the outset! I like to lay down a framework using pretty rough sketches, and I aim to fill in the blanks and fuel couples’ imaginations of what their stationery will look like with comprehensive notes that detail what I’m thinking about the direction of the suite.
